“I’m not supposed to…” Damian trailed off, pretty much asleep at this point.
“I’m not supposed to…” Damian trailed off, pretty much asleep at this point.
"I don't plan on breaking that trust, Dami. It's alright." Catori said, a sad smile on her face as she looked at him.
Damian merely let out a soft rumble in response that sounded more like a muffled: “Mphm…” than anything else.
Catori huffed a laugh, snuggling a bit closer. She hadn't started her day expecting to get so attached to a grumpy and cuddly prince, but she couldn't say she minded too much.
Damian opened one eye, wrapping an arm around her. “You need rest, Tori.” He murmured softly.
"Maybe, maybe not." Was Catori's response, as she found it a bit harder to keep her eyes open.
“Sparrow…” Damian whined, his eyes slowly starting to close again. The prince was calm and relaxed, soothed by Catori’s presence.
”Help!” The rabbit’s cry made Damian’s eyes shoot wide open, his muscles tensing.
Catori frowned, propping herself up on one elbow. "What's wrong?"
Damian didn’t respond, frozen in place as he listened to more of the rabbit’s yelling. After another moment, he was squirming away from Catori and scrambling to get out of the tent. “Bunlit in the river!”
Catori released him, getting up herself to follow him. "You're sure?"
“Positive!” Damian rushed outside, charging through the short amount of woods separating their campsite from the river. He quickly located the bunnies and spotting the one drowning as it got swept downstream.
Catori followed his pace easily, scanning the river, for the rabbit. "Well we have to help."
Damian shut his eyes, usuing his powers to weave a net of reeds a bit further downstream. “That… That should catch it. I might have to jump in to fish it out.” He panted.
"I can do that, don't worry." Catori said, making her way along the river bank. "You go…comfort the family? Tell them it should be fine."
(Sorry been having exams and some personal stuff going on.)
Fletcher brought out a scroll and spread it across the wooden table.
(It’s good to see you back @Divine_Emperor! I hope everything’s okay!)
Damian nodded, unwilling to protest as he sank to his knees on the riverbed. He began quietly murmuring to the rabbits, trying to soothe and console them. “She knows what she’s doing I promise…” He mumbled, raising his head to watch Catori walk downstream.
Catori made her way to where the rabbit had gotten caught in Damian's net, and waded in without hesitation. She quickly lifted the rabbit, using her magic to warm it up as she headed back to where Damian was.
Damian had nestled about six ‘bunlits’ in his lap and stroked the mother rabbit behind the ears, waiting anxiously for Catori to return.
"One dry and, besides being traumatized, relatively okay bunlit." Catori said as she approached, the rabbit cradled in her arms.
Damian smiled softly. “See? I told you she could do it.” He cooed to the mother rabbit. “Thanks, Tori.”
(So, I made a new rp and if anyone wants to join they can, just make sure you've read the books that this rp is based on (Or at least know the basics) https://www.notebook.ai/forum/roleplaying/hear-me-out-anyone-up-for-a-selection-based-rp-3-16-spots-taken/page-2 )
"No problem." Catori crouched next to him, placing the rabbit gently on his lap. "I'll have to change my pants though." She laughed, referring to her now wet pants.
“You can take a pair of mine if you need too.” Damian offered politely, examining the bunny with care. After deciding it was okay, he placed it next to its mother.
"I'm sure I've got a pair. I didn't bring much, but I hope I can remember to pack pants." Catori smiled, shifting to sit down. "Are they all okay?"
“Spooked but okay.” Damian lifted his eyes back up to Catori. “Can we take them with us?”
