Elias looked at Winter. Then he roared at Essar, "Get there faster!!! Winter has made an empathy link!!! She's helping Estelle out by letting her use some of her energy. She draining herself…" Winter managed to contact Estelle through the haze in her brain. "Some of the blue glow is me… I've made an empathy link, it means that I'm helping you with my power. Some of the blue glow is me, and some of the cold. Without me, there would just be a faint glow, and a cool breeze… I don't know what you are, but I shouldn't be able to do this… It happened automatically… Wait. There was one person I made an empathy link with… I thought she was gone… Unless. No. That's impossible…"
(This was where we left off)
(Alright!)
"Step on it 5!" Essar hollered. The ship zoomed over the city and approached the house.
Winter looked over at Elias. "I don't know what's happening… I don't know what to do…" she wheezed. Elias wrapped his arms around her. "Shhhh. It's ok. You're ok. Everything is going to be all right. I got you. Just lean on me." He couldn't stop his voice from betraying the doubt in his voice. Winter looked at Elias with all seriousness. "You know I'm not ok. You know what empathy links do. They suck the life out of people just so the other person can live. I don't know why it's happening with Estelle, but I have to deal with it… Hopefully we get there before Estelle loses hope… or I'm gone too…"
(I can't remember, what was the plan of attack? Drop in through the skylight or sneak into the house?)
(Okee)
Hi-5 guided the ship over the skylight. "Alright." She nodded. Essar turned, grabbing his blasters. "Alright, who's staying, and who's going in?"
Estelle felt the power surge through her veins in icy waves. She shoved her mother away and the woman landed in a sickening heap on the other side of the room. "You." Estelle spoke firmly. "Are not. My mother."
The woman gasped. "Nonsense! Y-You are my daughter, and y-you will do as I say!"
"No," Estelle shot icy wind and blew the woman from the room. In the hallway, ice coated her hands and feet, pinning them to the ground. Estelle created a barrier in the doorway and looked up the skylight. Mustering her newfound strength, She shot an icy blast upwards and shattered the skylight. Shards of glass rained down and Estelle ducked. "Stupid," she muttered. Winter? Are you here? Where are you? Winter?
Elias yelled toward Essar, "I'm going in! Winter can't, and she needs to stay out of the way. She can't do anything while she's supporting someone in an empathy link." Elias looked toward Winter. She was looking more pale than she was supposed to be, and her eyes were closed. She was murmuring. "Estelle, I'm here… I'm fading fast… I can't help you for much longer…" Winter slumped over, and Elias felt the panic flow through his veins. His eyes glowed, so bright, that the room was bathed in an unsettling green glow.
Winter, don't help me, I'm fine. Estelle replied.
Winter moaned. "You don't understand… I can't stop. You have to be out of danger before it will stop. I can't pull my power away, it's drawn to you until you are safe…"
(I have to go now… Will be back tomorrow.)
I bolted my mother to the floor. The only entrance to the room, other than the skylight, is sealed and unbreakable. I'm safe. As soon as she thought it, the power left her.
Winter felt herself relax. Elias looked at her. The color was coming back to her face. He looked at her and sighed a sigh of relief. "Are you ok now?" He asked as he brushed her cheek. She smiled. "Yeah. I'm fine now. Estelle is safe, and now that she broke the skylight, we should just be able to repel through it, and grab her and go. This should go without a hiccup. I hope…" Elias smiled. "I'm glad that you are ok now. I was starting to get worried… The color was going from your face, and you were passing out, and I was afraid that you were fading again. It was bad enough the first time…" Winter gently hit him. "Don't worry about me. I'm fine."
(I got to go… really bad thunderstorm on the way… I will get on as soon as it passes)
(Anyone on? I don't know how long I will be on, or if I will be able to get on this week, because my family has surprised me with a trip to Fairbanks…)
(Cool! I have to go soon anyway, so…)
(Ug, I'm back! Yes, my turn!)
(Happy 4th of July y'all)
