@Hawkeye
"I know. That was just instinct."
"I know. That was just instinct."
“We are certain I cannot kidnap Sam and you when summer wanes?” Trent gave her his best puppy eyes.
"You can try. Child Protective Services might not like it too much."
“I am confident in my ability to charm the government.” Trent attempted to make a joke. “I dare them to say no to me. My skills are unmatched.”
Lydia laughed. "Then please, kidnap us."
Trent smiled weakly, relieved Lydia was laughing. “Ollie and I can smuggle you into our dorms.”
"Yes, please." Lydia said, thinking about if the scenario really happened.
“I can only imagine the look on our headmaster’s face if she caught us…” Trent snickered, seeming to find the situation very amusing.
Lydia laughed, wondering what the scenario would be like.
“I’d have to shave your head to hide you, it’s an all boys school. Father didn’t want us to be distracted by women.” Trenton rolled his eyes.
“Guess he didn’t count on me being into guys.” He muttered absentmindly under his breath.
"First of all, I like my hair the length it is, second of all, mood." Lydia said, laughing.
Trenton actually started to blush when he realized Lydia heard him, his face turning a bright red in color.
"Whoa, you ok?"
“Yes, I’m fine. Simply… embarrassed. How could you— Gods, my face is red, isn’t it?” Trent groaned in annoyance, pulling his shirt over his face.
"Why would you be embarrassed?" Lydia asked.
Trent tugged down his shirt to reveal his eyes. They were widened in surprise as he stared at Lydia. “Because of what I just said?”
"That last part? The part to which I responded 'mood'?"
Trenton shyly nodded, hiding his face completely again.
"I'm into girls." Lydia stated plainly.
“Yeah, but you’re…” Trent waved his hand at Lydia. “You’re confident.” He mumbled.
“Yeah right.” Lydia scoffed. “I’m good at ACTING confident.”
“I’m pretty sure you’re just confident.” Trent’s voice was muffled by his shirt.
“Come out.” Lydia said, then winced. “Sorry, that was an accident.”
Trenton pulled down his shirt, rolling his eyes. He kept his gaze fixed on the floor. “That was bad timing, dwarf.”
“Yeah, that was unfortunate. Sorry. But you know what I meant. It’s not a big problem with me, ok? No reason to be embarrassed.”
